As of this week, the New Jersey bear hunt started with a death count of a couple hundreds of bears and cubs. It’s rather sad that despite the huge amount of opposition, the state of New Jersey allowed their annual bear hunt commence this year endangering thousands of bears in the state.
As hunters pour in from all across the country for this government sanction massacre, animal lovers are gearing up for their counter attack by exposing the unethical practices allowed by the government this year including whether hunters can kill bears with cubs.
This year’s New Jersey bear hunt season also had their share of heroes who dedicated their lives at protesting the hunt. Bear activists were seen protesting at different locations across the state and clashes with bear hunters were spotted as well. Animal Activist Bill Crain was reported on NJ Herald to have been arrested protesting the bear hunt.
Animal activists have voiced their anger against the much hated governor, Chris Christie for allowing this bloodbath to continue. Bear lovers are encouraged to call governor CHRISTIE OFFICE Monday thru friday (open 9am till 5 p.m) and request that he ends the New Jersey bear hunt 2016 season. Christie has the power to end it.
But on better news, it appears that the Florida hunt may not be happening this year as a result of heavy campaigning from the animal lover community.
We know that our advocacy works do make a difference and we need to continue to press on.
