Hillary Clinton’s Promises to Protect Wildlife Are Nothing Compared To Bernie Sander’s

While combing through the election websites of Hillary Clinton, we noticed that Hillary has some election promises for animal rights. It looks awfully similar to Bernie Sander’s promises but sadly with a lot of details taken out.

This is from Hillary’s website:

As president, Hillary will:

  • Protect wildlife in the United States by keeping public lands public—not auctioning them off to the highest bidder—and making more resources available to farmers, ranchers, and forest landowners who are taking steps to conserve our wildlife, lands, and waters.
  • Combat international wildlife trafficking by shutting down the U.S. market for illegal wildlife products and combating international animal trafficking and poaching, which harms the environment and fuels terrorist activity.
  • Protect pets and domesticated animals by making sure facilities like animal breeders, zoos, and research institutions create plans to protect the animals in their care during disasters; strengthening regulations of “puppy mills” and other harmful commercial breeding facilities; and supporting the Preventing Animal Cruelty and Torture (PACT) Act.
  • Protect farm animals from inhumane treatment by encouraging farms to raise animals humanely and working to eliminate the use of antibiotics in farm animals for non-therapeutic reasons.
  • Protect horses by ending the slaughter of horses for human consumption and cracking down on the practice of horse soring, in which chemicals or other inhumane methods are applied to horses’ limbs to exaggerate their gait.

While this is from Feel The Bern with each items described in more details.

Breeding and Captivity Practices: No animal should be subjected to inhumane commercial breeding habits nor should they be contained within neglected and inadequate shelters.

Livestock Issues: All animals that are raised for food should be treated humanely with minimum standards of care.

Cruelty Toward Animals: All animals must be protected from all forms of cruelty, suffering and abuse, whether in captivity or in the wild.

Protecting Wildlife: All wild animals must be protected from unnecessary danger to their livelihood and habitats, including threats to endangered species.

It’s relatively unknown whether the promises she made are going to be effective at all as her track record of animal rights is only when it is convenient instead of perfect dedication like Bernie Sanders. But we know that it is much better than Trump’s whose sons have been going out on hunting trips.

And where is Donald Trump’s animal welfare promises? Nowhere to be seen. His son’s are of course trophy hunters, so I doubt any improvement in that area would ever come were he to be elected President. One of them wants to be Secretary of the interior, so I guess that would mean the whole US might become a trophy hunting place to visit and kill.

I am not sure what the differences are here, Bernie was a big supporter of hunting and big Ag, he wasn’t any better on animal issues than Hillary from what I have read on his own website, and what is offered here seems even less than Hillary…but neither one of them are for animal rights, but both were hopeful as progressively minded people, Hillary for women’s rights and Bernie, anti-Wall st. to have hope that we can convince them for changes, Trump is a complete waste of life in my opinion when it comes to any intelligent non-violent issues.

That is wishful thinking. The Clintons are not animal lovers. All their dogs had died young pups ran over by cars. She wants to use and need the votes of animal advocates this woman only cares for power and money not even for human lives. She will be always remembered by her statement for the Benghazi slaughter by saying ” what difference at this point does it make”. Of course was not her cheating husband or daughter who were killed.

I am afraid you have listened to Fox News and Republicans too long, Benghazi is in all reality their doing, the Republicans refused funding to protect our people in Benghazi, and they put out a hate speech video against it’s people 2 days before to incite the violence, those are the facts, the Repukes are deflecting their own ruthless behavior on Hillary, they are abusing a woman, and are all misogynists, bigots, corporate whores and racists, so if you really think you have a progressive mindset for animals you need to see who are the real pos’s in this game. I can cite all night long the damage that the Repukes have done to our wildlife and for Big Ag, the same people you are believing about Benghazi, Really!

I don’t think Hillary will do anything to protect any animals. Whether they are wild or not …. I think it is just political lip service. The Trump family are a bunch of animal butchers and as for Bernie, I do believe he would have put laws in place to protect wildlife. I tvis a shame he didn’t run as an independent

Sanders has removed his page for Pro-hunting, but it is a known fact about him that couldn’t get me to get too excited about him, Hillary has a better voting record against guns than Bernie, FACT!
“Let me add to that, I think that urban America has got to respect what rural America is about, where 99 percent of the people in my state who hunt are law abiding people.”
“Sanders has had a mixed voting record on guns. He voted to end the “gun-show loophole” and in favor of the 2013 universal background check bill and assault-weapons ban following Sandy Hook Elementary school massacre that left 20 children dead. But, previously, Sanders voted to allow guns on Amtrak and against the Brady bill.”
“He added, “I can understand if some Democrats or Republicans represent an urban area where people don’t hunt, don’t do target practice, they’re not into guns. But in my state, people go hunting and do target practice. Talking about cultural divides in this country, you know, it is important for people in urban America to understand that families go out together and kids go out together and they hunt and enjoy the outdoors and that is a lifestyle that should not be condemned.”

Animal issues to politicians are an afterthought, not something they seriously worry about. The political system is part of the problem, leading the world down the garden path to animal ill-treatment and extinction
