Cecil rests in Hwange National Park, in Hwange, Zimbabwe. His death at the hands of a U.S. hunter sparked worldwide outrage.

Imagine if one percent of the world dies tomorrow. That’s equvalient to the population of New York, California and Florida altogether… gone. (For those outside of the US, the population of one of UK, France or Italy gone…). While this may not happen to humans, a planned culling is taking place in Zimbabwe’s largest conservancy.

Word from our Sponsors

phone case

Bubye Valley Conservancy is planning to kill 40% of their lions. Putting the blame on overpopulation and the decline of hunters visiting Zimbabwe, the park is showing the world that they can’t handle the reality of the shift in public opinion on trophy hunting. People are no longer tolerating this cruel act. Should their culling takes place, 1% of the world’s lion (1% of 20,000 is 200)

One percent may seem small but it is huge when lives matter. especially when there’s only 20,000 lions left on this earth, killing 200 lions is literally killing 1% of the world’s lion. We need to stand up and do something about it!
