29 year old animal loving ChangChun who made millions of dollars in the steel industry lost his beloved dog in 2012. He searched hard for his down and was led to a slaughter house. His experience seeing the slaughter house brought him a change in career as he used his wealth to put the slaughter house out of business and turn it into a sanctuary. The former millionaire is now in deep debt as he borrowed huge amounts of money to rescue dogs and give them a new home.

His sanctuary is currently home to more than 200 dogs and has helped over 1000 dogs find loving homes across china. It is good to hear that there are kind souls around china. ChangChun isn’t the only animal loving Chinese out there, we also have stories of a lady who gave up a quarter of her salary to rescue dogs from a dog meat festival.

I commend this Chinese gentleman, he is certainly my hero in what he has done and is continuing to do. His love of dogs was stronger than his love of money. Now he is in debt but continues to do good. I pray that others who have the money will help him to continue his quest and help him get out of debt.
Come on everyone please help this wonderful human being as he continues to help the innocent dogs of China.

I don’t think it’s ever too late. Thousands of dogs & cats are euthanized every day here in the U.S. alone. According to the Human Society of the U.S., “About 2.4 million healthy, adoptable cats and dogs—about one every 13 seconds—are put down in U.S. shelters each year. Often these animals are the offspring of cherished family pets. Spay/neuter is a proven way to reduce pet overpopulation, ensuring that every pet has a family to love them.” So to me, every heroic gestures for these poor animals count. At least some of them are being saved ~ a few at a time can add up to many saved, eventually. May this kind man receives more financial help from other kind & compassionate people to continue his efforts in helping the animals and may God blesses him with long life and other graces.
