The release of Blood Lions have opened up the eyes of the world to the horrors of canned lion farming. Canned farm operators hiding behind the guise of lion petting zoo lion sanctuaries have experienced a steep drop in revenue and also a rise in expenses as volunteers drop.
Unlike other businesses, canned lion operators DO NOT PAY their staff and get FREE LABOUR from volunteers, making the owners very wealthy. The drop in volunteers are cutting into the operator’s profit as they are force to hire people to keep the farm running.
Word from our sponsors
Volunteer placement organizations such as Save Volunteering are starting to unlist animal sanctuaries in an effort to disassociate itself from potentially questionable sanctuaries that may be linked to canned lions, thanks to the pressure from animal activists and petitions (keep signing!).
The act of breeding lions to be tamed to be pet at petting zoos and ‘retire’ them with a bullet when aged is a very cruel practice. Operators often drug up the lion to make them vulnerable and easy to be killed by trophy hunters who are too coward to hunt their games in a fair way. We must all do our part to put an end to canned hunting.
