California BANS Ivory and Rhino Sales

ivory ban
Did you hear the big news? California signed Bill AB-96 into law this month. Now the golden state joins New York and New Jersey as leaders in taking a stand for elephants by banning the sale of ivory. Alongside with the ban on ivory, the law also bans the transportation and sale of rhino horns.

Word from our sponsors

While CECIL Act may be taking it’s time, at the state level, law makers are working to ensure their state is protected. Sadly the porus nature of borders between states does not make this ban fool proof as poachers can transport their ill gotten goods to poacher friendly states and drive their ivory over to California. We must continue to lobby our state representatitves to put up a national ban or at least a ban in EVERY state.
